What’s your current position & how did you reach here?

Gabrielle Crumley - I am a social media and Facebook ad strategist operating my social media & marketing agency called Adlux Marketing. I realized the last year of my undergrad in a online marketing class that I loved marketing. So I decided to pursue my MBA and started working in sales and marketing. One in into my masters degree I started my social media marketing business serving clients 1:1. It took off I was able to quit my previous job within 3 months and went in full time. I've been in business 1 1/2 years now and love the clients I get to serve.

What will success look like for you in your work in the next few weeks?

Gabrielle Crumley - In the next few weeks I am looking to take on 1-2 more amazing clients who are ready to grow their business.

Which social media platform is working best for your brand at the moment? Why do you think that is?

Gabrielle Crumley - LinkedIn is my top platform for lead generation at the moment, and I have a strong network of business owners.

What have you found to be the most effective marketing tactic/platform, beyond social media?

Gabrielle Crumley - Email marketing is a powerful tool overlooked by many. The amount of leads, sales, and audience building that can be done through an email list is amazing.

What are you actively focused on learning about these days and how?

Gabrielle Crumley - I am always in learning mode, I am a strong believer in lifelong learning. Right now I'm focusing on learning more about SEO as I have begun to see great success with it on Pinterest.

If you had the time to add one more project or tactic to your marketing, what would it be, and why?

Gabrielle Crumley - I would love to add on Pinterest Advertising, I currently do organic Pinterest but haven't had the time to dive into ads on Pinterest.

What is a key metric you’re measuring these days, and why?

Gabrielle Crumley - With my clients ads always ROAS (Return on Advertising Spend) at the end of the day are we making money is something that is very important to me.

How do you prioritize your tasks/projects for the day/week? Do you use any special methods or frameworks?

Gabrielle Crumley - I use a block schedule to manage my time, and a running to-do list to make sure everything is always done on time.

How have you / your brand been engaging with your customers/audience/users/fans lately?

Gabrielle Crumley - We're always engaging with customers, some ways we connect are through Q&A's, live videos, giveaways, and excellent customer service.

What problem are you focused on solving for your customers/audience/users/fans? What is their biggest need that you (or your company) are helping with?

Gabrielle Crumley - Time & Direction. Most my clients come to me and they don't have time or direction when it comes to their online marketing. They aren't sure where to start, they have no plan in place, and they don't have the time to get one put together. This is where I come in to help create the strategy, plan and take the workload off of them.

Which tools do you use the most for tracking and managing the success of your marketing business?

Gabrielle Crumley - For social media insights I use in platform insights as well as the scheduler insights that I use.

What is your #1 tip for a newbie in marketing?

Gabrielle Crumley - Don't be afraid so afraid of failure you never try. Find a few friends or small business owners to offer free services for while you learn. Build up your skill set and get early testimonials.
