What’s your current position & how did you reach here?
Aisha Rasul - I am the Founder & CEO of SociStory -- your brand's social media manager, digital marketing advisor and more. I've been in the marketing field for over 10 years when social media was just getting started for businesses. I love meeting people and bringing on new partnerships which has been instrumentally helpful in this line of work.
What will success look like for you in your work in the next few weeks?
Aisha Rasul - Adding another client to my portfolio. I focus on distilleries, wineries and breweries. However, I have an extensive background in B2B and B2C. Currently, my most unique client is in the digital health sector called CredibleMind.
Which social media platform is working best for your brand at the moment? Why do you think that is?
Aisha Rasul - Instagram. Its results are higher in terms of new users and repeat users engaging with the brand without ad spend. This is a priority to understand success when developing compelling organic social media campaigns.
What have you found to be the most effective marketing tactic/platform, beyond social media?
Aisha Rasul - Advocacy emails to employees, friends and family -- as well as emailed newsletters. This is a more direct approach to get the word out and tends to have a higher rate of return.
What are you actively focused on learning about these days and how?
Aisha Rasul - Graphic design skills to get more creative with photography used on social media accounts.
If you had the time to add one more project or tactic to your marketing, what would it be, and why?
Aisha Rasul - I would spend more time doing long-form writing (e.g. articles and blogs)
How do you prioritize your tasks/projects for the day/week? Do you use any special methods or frameworks?
Aisha Rasul - I use Google Sheets and Docs for a lot of my projects and calendars.
